The prestigious REALTOR of the Year is awarded for REALTOR spirit (faithfulness to principles of organized real estate, laws and regulations of applicants local association and to the Code of Ethics; Efforts to encourage good real estate practices among other real estate brokers; time spent with general public explaining the real estate profession); Civic Affairs Activity (Participation in civic and service clubs, charitable activities, political action, fraternal or religious groups); Local Association Activity (committee work, special assignments, seminar activity and educational work, membership and offices held in local chapters or institutes, societies, etc.); and Business Accomplishments (Public recognition of business conduct, service to clients, imaginative and creative advertising, rehabilitation work, land utilization, etc.). State and National Association Activity considered, but not essential.
